Making of Miss Dior Cherie

Have you seen the actual ad for the new Miss Dior Cherie yet? Natalie Portman is just stunning! I've fallen in love with this fragrance too, it smells amazing and the bottle is adorable- it was part of my little duty free splurge when returning from Vietnam recently.

Forever New - Sunset Boulevard

How beautiful is Forever New's new collection - Sunset Boulevard?! I'm loving the relaxed, 70's feel and the campaign features the gorgeous up and coming model Georgia Fowler.

To celebrate the launch of the collection, five lucky people across Australia and New Zealand will win a $1000 (!) shopping spree at Forever New. Head in store to check out the collection and for further competition details!

Beauty review: Orly Pure Porcelain nailpolish

I'm loving the bright beauty trend at the moment, but most of the time I prefer soft, feminine neutral colours- which also means I don't need to think about matching my nails to my outfit which yes, I do.

Recently I tried out Orly's Pure Porcelain nailpolish, which was used on the models at Dion Lee's recent fashion week show. The bottle lid has a good grip top, and the polish goes on smoothly. The shade is beautiful, and would suit most skin tones- I definitely got a few compliments on it at work! It has a great glossy finish, but works best teamed with Orly's Bonder base coat and Glosser top coat.

Takashi doodles for Google

I love some of the feature drawings on Google, and was recently excited to see one by one of my favourite artists, Takashi Murakmi, marking the winter solstice (or summer if you're on the other side of the world). Did anyone else catch this too?

National Whale Day 2011

image: IFAW

Saturday 2nd July is National Whale Day in Australia. The day was launched in 2008 by IFAW as a way to celebrate whales as well as drawing attention to the threats that face whales today. I was recently travelling in Vietnam, and was pleased to learn from our guide that they not only respect whales but they are worshipped and mourned when found dead.

So how can you help out on Saturday? Visit the website for a list of public events (I was pleased to see my old high school included in the list), information on hosting your own event or for other ways in which you can get involved.
